Tonights Thoughts

It is late. Around 2:20 - 2:30am. As I am sitting hear, thinking... Thinking about the things happening around me... The atitude displayed... About my community, city, county, state, and country... It accured to me that an important element is missing. Wether it was ever a part of common understanding or not I cannot find evedence of it though I know it had been understood by many early on in this countrys history. It seems so simple that it is possible that one might pass it by without notice. A concept, a view point, a paradine if you will.
As a member of the species 'Homosapian' we have as part of our being something called ' Essential Liberties ' . These 'Essencial Liberties' are most eloquently expressed in the Bill of Rights and The Constitution of the United States of America. This is not the origin of these Liberties just an expression of them in one localized documentation. These Liberties have been expressed many times throughout the history of mankind from the earliest civilizations to the present. This is a foundation... A solid foundation... The foundation that we, (I), can, ( and do), dirive our self value from. A simple yet profound and strong foundation. This foundation stems from our innermost inharitance. Much of which we share with many other species on the planet. Without this foundation, these 'Essentials', there is nothing to base our value on except what others say we have giving power over our self worth to others. There is no other more stable foundation that these 'Liberties' we have had since man's dawn. It is our concept of our own self value that gives us our self worth. This concept of self worth gives us our value as individuals and as a part of a community. On this we build our sence of self respect. Self respect enables us to respect others and see this same value in them. Upon this we develop our a concept of dignit and upon this we gain a sence of our own integrity and an ability to hold ourselves personally accountable for what we say and do. We begin to see ourselves able to develop skills and contribute to our communities and to see ourselves worthy of developing a skill just for our personal well being. With this foudations set we develope our sence of duty, duty to our selves, our families, our communities. It is the combination and culmination of all these things that constitute Honor.
Thank you for having the patiants to read this and I hope that someone benifits from it.
