Our new site address is www.sunsetmoonrisephotography.com All are welcome to visit and tell us what you think. It is exciting to be doing something with our photography and hope to be profiting from it. we are looking forward to your visit. Thank you.

The re-modeling project nears completion

First, I got the chance to visit the roadster show at the Idaho expo after work on the last day of the show and I brought my camera with me. I took my Nikon N6000 with a 28-70mm lens and my Fuji fine pix S3100 with a 55mm cross filter. I have posted at www.picasa.google.wev.com/Artistic Photographs during the interum between the home projects I am doing.
In the last post I finished the master bath. Now I am half done with the hall bath. Here are the photos of what I did with the sink and vanity.

Master bathroom makeover

The master bath makeover. It was quite bad to begain with. The plastic tile was comming off... The Tiles were GLUED directly to the walls... The showerpan was cemented over a metal flashing placed directly on the wood subfloor without any moisture barrier... The fixtures were quite out dated and the shower door was falling apart. Thus spawned the makeover. My wife did the designing and I did the work.
These photos are of the way it looked when we moved in, the demolition, and the finished work. Now all she has to do is get the window treatments.
Now I am off to do the hall bath.

Gallery 13 - intermition

I am taking a short intermition from my home renovations while I wait for my wife to settle on the tile for the master bath and it will give me a chance to settle into my new position ( the next step in my carer in health care) as I enter the temp pool as a member of the direct care staff at the Idaho State School and Hospital. Here is a posting of our little kittens.

Flooring Project

I am in the throws of a project of removing all the carpeting and replacing it with solid bamboo flooring, then remodeling both baths. I have removed the carpet from the dinning room already and tiled it in, and remodled the kitchen,(previous posts).
Day One
Clear carpet in front of fire place, lay down 1/2" hardy backerboard, cut & layout tile, set tile, clear out Master bedroom, clear out carpet, layout flooring underlayment, pre-layout flooring...

Day Two
Grout tile, cleet flooring in Master bedroom.
Day Three
Finish flooring in Master bedroom, start prep work in hall bath for flooring, prep hall, lay underlayment in hall bath, layout flooring in hall bath, cleet flooring in hall bath, start prep work in hall.
Day Five
Finished hall and hall bath.
With workomg two jobs and all things slowed a bit. even so by day fifteen I had gotten the living room finished. Now I need to work with the baseboards and paint the trim and the hall walls. Then it's on to the other two bedrooms and the tile work in the baths... This may take a while.
